To Be Adored

New lust after label t.b.a short for To Be Adored, what a delightfully sweet name, t.b.a is a fashion label sold at Urban Outfitters stores nationwide and ASOS online. The designer behind the label is Binbin McNiven, whose S/S 2010 collection is inspired by 1920s flappers and 60s actress Mia Farrow. She  takes her inspiration from classic vintage pieces using soft silks and delicate beading, mixing in a playful modern twist. Her S/S collection palette if all about the 60s sex kitten look with muted powder room shades of mink pinks and nudes with a hint of navy blue. The prices are rather on the expensive side, but would make great investment pieces.

Hanging on the telephone

I hate talking on the telephone, especially to strangers. Emails are a god send for me but unfortunately not everybody agrees and the telephone is the only way of contact. I hate that awkward silence and I'm terrified of making important phone calls to strangers, I panic and become lost for words and end up sounding like a mumbling idiot and I don't know why. I had to make one of those important phone calls today, I sat next to my blackberry dreading making the call, eventually I got over myself I made the call.

Feeling Blue

Finally Uni is over for the Summer so why do I feel so blue. Maybe it could be the thought of all my lovely friends going home for the Summer. Or the feeling of  discontentment. After spending 2 weeks of sleep deprivation working flat out my life feels strangely empty. Time to start catching up on my sleep and figuring out what to do with my life. As the darling Holly Golightly says 'You know those days when you get the mean reds?' The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. That's exactly how I feel when I start thinking about the future, so I try to put it off but this Summer I must start.

Brat Pack

Apparently talent counts for nothing these days, it's who your parents are. Take Georgia Jagger & Peaches Geldof for instance both are talentless twits who seem to get jobs handed to them on a plate that most girls would kill for. Unlike the rest of us normal people that don't have famous parents. I mean it's not even like they need the money. How these girls get top modeling contracts is beyond me they are both really ugly. I swear if I have to see Georgia's gabby teeth one more time in that Rimmel advert and the girl clearly needs speech therapy. It just proves what a celebrity obsessed society we all live in today.
